International Motors, Daimler Truck North America, Paccar, and Volvo Group North America have filed a lawsuit against California’s state emissions rules. The companies argue that federal government resolutions have preempted California’s emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles and engines. The lawsuit seeks to prevent the state from enforcing its “Clean Truck Partnership” with companies, which committed to meet California’s standards in exchange for loosening some requirements.
