A hiker in Alaska was rescued using a drone after being attacked by a brown bear on the Basher Trail in Anchorage. Anchorage Police Department spokesman Christopher Barraza reported that the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and called emergency responders to help locate her. The Alaska Department, along with the Anchorage Fire Department, Alaska Department of Public Safety, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, assisted in the rescue. The woman called emergency officials herself and remained conscious to help locate her, despite the bear eventually running away. The Alaska Department and other agencies were involved in the rescue efforts.
