A car slammed into a crowd outside a Los Angeles nightclub, injuring at least 30 people. The city’s fire department and police departments reported that at least seven people were in critical condition and six others were seriously injured. The incident occurred outside a club called The Vermont, just before 2 a.m. local time (0900 GMT). The fire department spokesperson, Captain Adam VanGerpen, said the car careened into a taco truck outside the club and then through a valet stand into a large group of people. The Los Angeles Police Department is still investigating the incident. The driver was shot while being assaulted by onlookers, and his condition is unknown. A man suspected of shooting the driver fled the scene on foot and possibly was armed with a silver revolver.
