A passenger train derailed in southwestern Germany, killing three people and injuring others, according to a police statement. The train, carrying around 100 people, left the tracks between Riedlingen and Munderkingen, near the border with France and Switzerland. The cause of the crash is under investigation, and a picture by German news agency DPA showed carriages largely intact but jackknifed into each other and rolled onto their sides. Deutsche Bahn (DBN.UL) expressed its thoughts for the victims and their loved ones and pledged to support authorities in their investigation. The cause of the derailment remains unclear.
