The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, a smartwatch from Samsung, has received positive initial impressions due to the integration of Gemini into the watches. The rotating bezel is welcomed, making navigation easier and responsive. The Gemini app handles orders and inquiries more fluidly than Google Assistant, even after connecting to Google Search. To access Gemini, hold down on the Home button and speak your command.
Battery life seems good, with no issues after charging the device twice and being busy running and traveling over the weekend. The Wearables app offers numerous software options, including fitness tracking, creating tiles, and customizing watch faces. However, the app has not yet been successful in finding a watch face that truly resonates with the user.
The Watch 8 Classic survived a pool swim this weekend, and the Fabric band with the watch is very comfortable. Due to the Apple Watch Ultra, the Alpine Loop band is now required for all of the users. Two Alpine Loop bands were ordered from Amazon and are solid.
