JerryRigEverything has tested the durability of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a slimmer case, lighter Armor Flex hinge, and Gorilla Glass upgrades. The device offers an 8-inch 120Hz AMOLED inner display and a 6.5-inch 120Hz AMOLED outer screen, but both are prone to burn-in during prolonged heat exposure. The flexible inner panel remains unchanged from past generations, allowing fingernails and pocket debris to leave permanent marks. Samsung includes one free inner screen protector replacement within 12 months, while further replacements cost 19.99 dollars. The hinge, while reducing the risk of sand and pocket debris, stands up to dust exposure without grinding or seizing. The rear camera array benefits from Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and new dust-sealing rings, giving the phone stronger resilience. Despite its thinner frame, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 survives repeated reverse bending, hinge stress, and heavy dusting without glass or hinge failure. However, the ultra-soft inner display remains the weak point, with susceptibility to scratches and burn-in.
