A two-year-old child was among the 28 individuals killed in a Russian attack on Kyiv on Thursday.

A two-year-old child was found dead in the rubble following a Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv, Ukraine’s prime minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced. The attack, which involved over 300 drones and eight missiles, resulted in the death toll to 28, with over 150 wounded. The toddler was the third child to die in the attack, with the other two underage victims being six and 17 years old. The rescue service reported that 16 of the injured were children, the largest number of children injured in a single attack on Ukraine’s capital since Russia began its full-scale invasion nearly 3-1/2 years ago. US President Donald Trump criticized Russia’s behavior against Ukraine but was uncertain whether sanctions would deter Russia.
