A man, Richard Tillman, is being investigated for deliberately driving a vehicle into a Northern California post office. The US Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) reported that the incident began when police and firefighters responded to reports of a burning vehicle in the box lobby area of the Almaden Valley Station Post Office. The fire was extinguished, and police took a man into custody. Richard Tillman, who is the brother of late NFL player and US Army ranger Pat Tillman, told officers at the scene he is Pat Tillman’s brother and said he live-streamed the crash on a social media platform. USPIS is investigating the incident as a potentially intentional act. Tillman, who led his high school football team in San Jose to a championship before playing at Arizona State University and advancing to the NFL, was killed while serving as a US Ranger in Afghanistan in 2004. The San Jose Fire Department reported that about 50 personnel attended the scene of the fire, with no injuries reported.
Former NFL player and Army Ranger Pat Tillman’s brother is reported to have driven a car into a San Jose post office.
