Comedy Central’s South Park, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, will be removed from HBO Max on August 5th and will only be available to stream on Paramount+. The move follows a $1.5 billion exclusive five-year deal between Paramount Global and Park County, the company overseeing South Park. The deal allows Paramount+ to stream all 26 previous seasons and feature-length specials, paving the way for 50 new episodes throughout five seasons.

The controversial season premiere of South Park, featuring President Donald Trump in bed with Satan and a “public service announcement” with a nude version of Trump created with Deepfake technology, has been dominating the streaming charts. The White House’s assistant press secretary, Taylor Rogers, responded to the episode, stating that South Park hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.

The show’s creators apologized for the episode at San Diego Comic-Con, erupting in laughter. The show’s next episode premieres on August 6th on Comedy Central, and a new teaser reveals that the show isn’t quite finished poking fun at the president.
