The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for over 64,000 pounds of butter due to potential undeclared milk allergens. The recall, which affected 1,800 cases of Bunge North America’s NH European Style Butter Blend, was distributed at 12 centers across the United States and one in the Dominican Republic. The FDA classified the recall under its second-highest risk warning, warning that consumption could cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. Bunge North America, an agribusiness based in Chesterfield, Missouri, produces and markets various food ingredients, including corn, wheat, rice, soybeans, and feed peas.
