Trump is reportedly launching an attack on Intel. HoangMySpa 166

President Trump has called for Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan to resign, citing his “highly conflicted” ties to China. Tan has investments in hundreds of Chinese tech firms, including at least eight with ties to the Chinese military. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) also voiced concerns about his previous role as CEO of Cadence Design Systems, which pleaded guilty and paid $140 million last month for violating export controls by selling chip design technology to a Chinese military university. Tan’s associations raise questions about Intel’s ability to fulfill its obligations under the CHIPS and Science Act, which received nearly $8 billion. Intel’s stock dropped 3% following the call for Tan to resign. The Hill has reached out to Intel for comment. The Hill’s Technology newsletter will not run Friday and will return on Monday.
