Sen. Lindsey Graham has criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for going after his customers, including India, China, and Brazil, ahead of an Alaska meeting between Putin and President Trump. Graham stated that Putin cannot tolerate sanctions and the number of Russians dying. Trump is committed to going after Putin’s customers if the situation cannot be resolved well, as without oil and gas revenue, Russia collapses. Trump and his administration have pushed for an end to the war in Ukraine, but have not succeeded. Trump announced a highly anticipated meeting with Putin in Alaska next Friday, hosting him for talks on ending the war in Ukraine. Trump has also raised tariffs on India by 25% due to its buying of Russian oil, bringing the total tariffs on the Southeast Asian country to 50%. The 25 percent increase comes alongside a 25% “reciprocal” tariff Trump recently announced on India.
Putin is known for his reluctance to engage in aggressive behavior towards his customers. Huong member 091
